Ayanay Psychological Accreditation Membership has been designed to maximise the support for professionals. Having reached the qualifying requirements, individuals can apply to join the appropriate membership category.

The term Ayanay (Ayanay Psychological Accredition APA), refers to people who are trailblazers, torch-bearers, researchers, teachers and those who show others the way. They are leaders, motivators and idealistic visionaries who are aware of their own innate powers.

ABOUT APA MEMBERSHIPS

APA Membership (QAM) is designed to acknowledge selfawareness in building ethical, client focused partnerships and effective therapeutic practice. Subsequently, it is only awarded through an in-depth application and assessment process. This includes a verbal self-awareness assessment reflecting knowledge. As well as, application within the individuals professional and personal relationships.

Qualification requirements include:

To complete and graduate with a minimum of a level 4 (four) Diploma course, in professional counselling, psychotherapy and/or training that:

  • Includes at least 450 hours of tutor contact hours.
  • Lasted at least two years (part-time) or one year (full-time).
  • Included a supervised placement, as an integral part of the training, covered theory, skills, professional issues, personal development, and required an assessment of your competence at the end.
